Global Village is a program with in Habitat Guatemala that hosts short term mission trips of international volunteer teams for one to two week stays. GV is a way for us to organize and efficiently utilize the amazing amount of volunteer resources that we receive from international volunteers.

Habitat Guatemala first began work here in 1979 and has been hosting GV teams for over 15 years, building with all of our 17 affiliates and in all 22 departmental regions of Guatemala. We specialize in custom-made trips that are individually tailored to suit your unique requirements. Whether you would like us to give suggestions for pre or post-build R&R trips to discover more of Guatemala, visit local schools, create specific cultural exchanges or direct you towards partnering with local organizations, we can accommodate you. We are extremely flexible so just talk with us about the experience you would like and we will be more than happy to build your trip with you.

We have the capacity to create a unique experience for you no matter how big or small your team is. We work with hundreds of service providers all over the country so we can build your trip based on basic hostels or 5 star accommodations!

Every year we have the pleasure of receiving a wide variety of different kinds of groups from all over the world; corporate teams, Church teams, Youth teams, Friends and Family teams and Open groups that are recruited from the internet!
